Turning prime time TV into destination demand

Sky High St. Maarten

Spotlight on St. Maarten was a high-impact national TV campaign developed by Hopscotch Netherlands in collaboration with the St. Maarten Tourism Bureau. By leveraging its strong television network, Hopscotch secured a dedicated four-episode season of Sky High St. Maarten, broadcast on RTL4 and Videoland in February 2025.

The series showcased St. Maarten as a vibrant Caribbean destination, highlighting its culture, beaches, gastronomy and island hopping experiences. Airing in prime time, the collaboration delivered outstanding visibility among a broad, travel-oriented Dutch audience at a key moment in the booking cycle.

 

Hopscotch Netherlands managed the full scope of the project. The agency worked closely with the production team, secured all filming permits, advised on key messaging and ensured the destination was consistently and accurately represented throughout the content. The result was a credible, editorially strong destination series with high viewer engagement.

Beyond awareness, the impact translated into measurable results. National TV once again proved to be a powerful channel for reaching travel-minded consumers, with a direct increase in KLM ticket sales to St. Maarten following the broadcasts. Through this multi-episode destination series, Hopscotch Netherlands positioned St. Maarten top of mind during key booking periods and demonstrated its ability to deliver both brand impact and commercial growth.
